Artist Call: Conception & Development of a Permanent and Interactive Public Exhibition at BOKU River Lab

The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) - Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and River Research has long been working on strengthening public acceptance and interest in rivers with the specific aim to advance the knowledge of river systems towards enhanced environmental integrity.

To this end, the BOKU River Lab, a state-of-the-art hydraulic engineering laboratory is now seeking a concept for a permanent and interactive exhibition in the Public Lab area of the facility. This innovative space will create the opportunity for citizens to learn about river systems, ecosystems, and the opportunities and threats they face, thus facilitating the public to become active in increasing awareness and actions towards healthier rivers for all.

The vision is to have a standing exhibition within the BOKU River Lab that is open to all kinds of audiences, but especially for school children and adolescents. The concept is part funded by DANUBE4all as part of its aims. DANUBE4all is an EU Lighthouse Initiative within Mission Ocean 'Restoring our ocean and waters by 2030'.
